The 31st edition of the British Car Festival. This event was conceived by the British Car Union, a consortium of Chicago area British Car Clubs, of which Lotus Corps is a founding member, and has been going strong ever since.
We will be returning to Harper Community College in Palatine, where well over 500 cars representing all the great British Marques will be on display… Make sure your Lotus is one of them! This year will feature more British car oriented vendors to visit, and food vendors with British and American cuisine. Door prizes will be announced throughout the day, and Popular vote awards will be presented at the end of the day. And we will be parked in the same great location as last year.
There will be three Lotus classes: ( Q ) model years 1974 and earlier, including Lotus and Caterham Sevens (all years); ( R ) model years 1975 through 2004; and ( S ) model years 2005 and newer.
If you are looking for even activities more to fill your British Car weekend, the Chicago Chapter of the Austin Healey Club of America will celebrate the 116th birthday of Donald M. Healey with a road rally. It is to be held on Saturday 10th, the day before the British Car Festival, in the western suburbs of Chicago. See full details for the Festival and Rally, including registration form, can be found on the BCU web site:www.britishcarunion.org, or call our BCU Rep, Zig Gluszek at 630-980-0608. We hope to see you !
