This month, we will continue to peruse the video vaults in search of more lotus sightings. Although the Indy 500 race has passed us by for another year, this is the time to snatch up those DVDs that contain bits and pieces of lotus history!

The first DVD is called "Racing's Greatest Spectacle: 40 Years at the Indy 500" It's hosted by Paul Page, and is produced in conjunction with ABC sports. There is a small mention of the Lotus 25 in the 60's segment. If you are an Indy car fan, it's worth tracking down. I found this at the local Menard's bargain bin!

"Indianapolis 500: The Legacy Series" is the next DVD on our list, actually it's a 5 DVD set, and is a must have, in my hook. Each disc contains numerous extras including race stats and other profiles. There is disc exclusively for the 60's, that focuses on the British invasion, and includes an interview with Cohn Chapman from the Speedway, that I had never seen before! This set can he ordered online at www.speedgear.com, or you can check your local Wal-Mart video department ... where I found my copy!

Lastly, here's a VHS video that is a hit harder to track down, but does appear on ebay from time to time: "If you're not winning.. you're not trying" - 1973 GP Season with John Player Team Lotus. This 60 minute documentary follows Lotus in the 1973 F1 season, and contains footage taken from the John Player film library. It's a very good up close and personal look into the glory days of Lotus, and even includes a hit of the "Team Lotus Sings" on it ... once you survive that, the rest of the video is great! Happy Hunting!!
